Catherine White, MA, RN I come from a home where illness was really uncommon. My mother and father lived a healthful life and passed this on to us five children. In high school I expected to take college-bound courses rather than courses others chose leading to non-college experiences after high school.

Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Passes

Legislative News Commentary by Eileen Doherty, M.S. Congress has passed a Medicare Prescription Drug benefit for seniors which will take effect in 2006. Supported by AARP, seniors will initially pay a deductible of $250. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the deductible is projected to be $445 in seven years or 2013.
